Mostafa’s shoals are in the Anfoushy neighborhood of Alexandria and have been held there since forever.

The market  lies right along the shore of the Nile and offers a good daily sampling of the fish available (or lacking) for sales and consumption. Most people living in the area relies on the sea for the subsistence.

In recent years pollution and heavy fishing have taken a toll on the fish population and this circumstance has badly affected Mustafa and his colleagues’ work.

Description of the technique/method/practice implemented. Please, specify – if it’s the case – the timing, the steps and the aim of the activity (to have more material: pictures + video shooting of the usage if it’s possible).

Using weights and scales  the fish and seafood is divided by weight and put into fish boxes (mixed types) for then being sold to the consumer. The idea is that all of the caught fish is sold by the end of the day.
